On April 1, 2016, a 7-year-old adult Bald Eagle was found in critical condition by the Connecticut State Environmental Conservation Police. Like so many community members, they knew just where to bring local wildlife for immediate emergency care, Audubon Sharon's newly renovated Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic facilities.

On May 12, 2016, Audubon Sharon released this adult Bald Eagle back to the wild at Thomaston Dam. Audubon Sharon has been caring for wildlife for more than 40 years and has cared for and released more than 10,000 birds back into Connecticut's ecosystem in the process. From eagles to hummingbirds, we have cared for them all. Thanks to a generous grant from the John T. and Jane A. Wielderhold Foundation we are positioned to care for Connecticut's wildlife, especially birds, into the future.
