Shrubland bird inventory in eastern CT
Our science staff will be managing a project to inventory early successional birds in eastern Connecticut to establish a baseline before the habitat is managed for New England cottontail. This project will complement others in the state focused on early successional birds and habitat, including Bird Banding at the Bent of the River, the CT DEP’s shrubland bird surveys, and a multi-partner, regional effort to inventory managed early-successional habitat in New England.
If you are interested in volunteering for this effort, please contact Chris Field via email.
